A cordial request for help and support Add Full Repozitory Tools dosfstools, mtools in Debian Kali Linux on the Gnome desktop environment

Hello, please send me information on how to update the Repository for:

2 - Gparted in Kali Linux won’t let me format my PenDrive to Fat32 file system - because I miss installed toolsZrzut ekranu z 2021-11-09 16-16-52

The contents of the file system could not be read. For this reason, some activities may not be available. This may be due to a missing software package. The following software packages are required for the fat32 file system support: dosfstools, mtools. How do I get dosfstools, mtools in Kali Linux by running Console Commands. Please send me the links to the instructions on how to get these two tools in Debian Kali Linux on the Gnome desktop environment. Yours faithfully, Luke

As the message says, dosfstools and mtools are software packages, which you can install using the package manager, usually apt (or something based on it) for Debian-based systems. Looking at the package descriptions I guess you only need dosfstools, unless you want to work with floppies. Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:

Could you help me remotely? Needs to get Microsoft Windows 10 install on PenDrive quickly. It informs that the DD tool in the Kali Linux console works efficiently and with Success with the PenDrive which is previously formatted with the Fat32 file system and the Partition Table for this PenDrive is the Master Boot Record Table.

Can you guide me through this forum thread remotely?

Could you please send me the step-by-step instructions to install the tool that is required to get my PenDrive formatted to Fat32 file system to Master Boot Record Partition Table.

Please send me instructions on how to properly run Kali Linux from the console and install the tool `mtools.

Could you please write to me whether it is possible to update the database with the extended supported and supported list of file systems for PenDrive?

Could you please write to me whether it is possible to update the database with an extended supported and supported list of file systems for PenDrive for the built-in tool in the console / Terminal DD? So in short, asking if it is possible to update the DD tool itself?

I am following this guide.

I have this message.

Please stop spamming. This is a forum, not a chat, give people some time to respond.

That guide you’re trying to follow is vastly outdated. It says it’s for Ubuntu 12 (minor version missing), which was released 9 years ago!

Finally, follow the link in my post above to learn how to install packages on Debian and Debian-based systems (like Kali). Then install the dosfstools packages with that method, if you’re still trying to create a fat32 filesystem.

Please Reply me Question.

How do I update an old repository for UnetBootin that is no longer updated? I need an updated Repository. Actually, I should update the Kali Linux core, because half or more than half of things are out of date.

Send me a guide on how to update the Linux Kernel, along with the Repository and the Gnome desktop environment. I need this tutorial.

If you try to install the tool mtools it gives me errors, it means that the Linux kernel, i.e. the main database, is out of date. Packages and Repositories related to the Gnome Desktop Environment are not valid.
