500 Internal Server Error when Signing In With GitHub

Like the title says, anytime I try to “Sign in with GitHub”, the site gives me a 500 internal server error.

I already checked the forum and the solutions for other people with this problem. The solution that seems to work for other people is to revoke GitHub Learning Lab access, and reconnect it.

This does not work for me.

I haven’t had a chance to use the site at all, actually, because anytime I try to sign in, the site takes me to the confirmation screen, asking if I want to allow GitHub Learning Lab access to my account, and when I allow it, the site gives me the 500 internal server error.

As you can imagine, this is quite frustrating. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear about this, @coalternate! Are you able to perform actions on GitHub itself? Like: create commits, respond to issues.

I am, indeed. Everything on GitHub’s side of things works for me. I just cannot access the learning lab.

Thanks for that, @coalternate. Could you try navigating to https://lab.github.com/logout, and then logging in again? There’s nothing immediately wrong, but it’s worth a shot.

If that still doesn’t work, have you changed your username on GitHub or have any other changes occurred to your GitHub account recently?
